Overview
Smart Runner is designed from the ground up with your privacy as the default. We do not collect your personal data. We do not transmit it. We do not store it anywhere except on your own device.
What data Smart Runner uses
Smart Runner reads data from Apple HealthKit to import your completed workouts, heart rate samples, and activity data. This data is used solely to power your training plan and analytics inside the app.
Smart Runner writes training load entries and planned workouts to local SwiftData storage on your device only.
What data Smart Runner does NOT collect
- We do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers
- We do not have servers or a backend service
- We do not require an account or login of any kind
- We do not send your health or workout data to any third party
- We do not use analytics SDKs, ad networks, or crash reporters that transmit data
- We do not sync your data to iCloud
HealthKit
Smart Runner requests HealthKit permission to read workout data, heart rate, and activity summaries. This data never leaves your device. We comply fully with Apple's HealthKit guidelines: your health data is used only to improve your personal training experience within the app.
StoreKit / Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. Smart Runner does not handle payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs all purchase transactions.
Children's Privacy
Smart Runner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above. Changes will only ever make this policy more protective, not less.
